Product Description

Product Description

Plant Growth Hormone Iba 3-Indole Butyric Acid
3-Indole butyric acid

Indole butyric acid is an organic substance with a chemical formula of C12H13NO2. The pure product is a white crystalline solid, and the original drug is white to light yellow crystals. It is soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, ether and ethanol, but hardly soluble in water. It is mainly used for rooting cuttings, which can induce the formation of root protozoa, promote cell differentiation and division, facilitate the formation of new roots and the differentiation of vascular bundle system, and promote the formation of adventitious roots of cuttings.
Indole butyric acid is a naturally occurring indole plant growth regulator. The pure product is white and light yellow crystals with an indole smell. The melting point is 123-125 degrees Celsius. It is soluble in alcohol, acetone, ether, insoluble in water and chloroform, and will slowly decompose under care. Store the molecular structure in the dark stability.

Function characteristics

Indole butyric acid can be absorbed through the roots, stems, leaves and fruits of plants, but it has little mobility and is not easily oxidized and decomposed by indole acetic acid. Its biological activity lasts for a long time, and its physiological function is similar to that of endogenous growth hormone: it stimulates cell division. And tissue differentiation, induce parthenocarpy, and form seedless fruits; also produce adventitious roots, promote cutting roots and so on.Widely used in cutting rooting of trees and flowers: apple, peach, pear, citrus, grape, kiwi, strawberry, poinsettia, dianthus, chrysanthemum, rose, magnolia, rhododendron, tea, metasequoia, poplar, etc.

Stability and activity

1.Stability: stable in neutral and acidic media.
2.Incompatible materials: strong oxidants, alkalis.
3.Avoid contact conditions: open flame, high temperature.
4.Decomposition products: nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
5.Chronic toxicity: No significant difference was found in symptoms, signs and blood CHE activity.
6.Degradability: rapid degradation in soil.

Scope of application of indole butyric acid

1.Dipping method: According to the different conditions of the cuttings' difficulty and easy rooting, use 50~300ppm to soak the base of the cuttings for 6~24 hours
2.Quick soaking method: According to the different conditions of the cuttings' difficulty and easy rooting, use 500~1000ppm to soak the base of the cuttings for 5-8 seconds.
3.Dip powder method: After mixing the indole butyrate potassium and talcum powder and other additives, soak the base of the cuttings, dip them in powder, and cut the cuttings.
Flush and fertilize 3-6 grams per acre with large water, drip 1.0-1.5 grams, and dress 0.05 grams of original medicine with 30 kilograms of seeds.
